About Sally

My journey as a floral designer began over 20 years ago when I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then attended Floral Design School. This gave me an appreciation for the psychology of flowers and the uplifting impact they have on mood. This combines with my love of creating and floral know-how to provide a unique approach that sets Three Poppies Floral Design apart. Flowers aren’t just stems in a vase, they create an aesthetic in a room by turning a vision into an experience of sight, smell, and touch.

Three Poppies Floral Design brings a custom and intimate approach to floral design. My goal is for my clients to find more joy and feel more beautiful because of the bouquet they hold. I have never done the same wedding twice because my floral installs reflect the unique personalities of my amazing clients. That is what I love most about my craft and I would love the opportunity to serve you in this way too.

The mountains are an endless supply of inspiration and peace.  I love to observe the colors and textures  and wide open spaces.

That quiet moment when there is no noise, before the chaos of the day has begun, gives me a calm heart and time to connect with God.

I surround myself with fresh flowers as often as possible.  It's like therapy to me!  I love seeing the joy and peace they bring to others.

My family has my heart.  They are my biggest joy in life.  That's what I love most about weddings - the creation of a new, beautiful family.

What I love Most:

Growing up here in Northern Colorado, I've always been drawn to the outdoors.  Whether it's in the mountains, around gardens or in beautiful neighborhoods, my eyes are always drawn to the beauty around me.  I always stop to touch and smell all the plants and flowers around me. As a life-long hiker, I find endless inspiration from the colors and textures in creation.  Preparing for weddings and events surrounded by flowers I'm arranging puts me in my happy place.

I work tirelessly to coordinate and compose every last floral detail to free my clients up to be present with their guests on their special day. I pride myself in giving my clients the peace of mind knowing that everything is taken care of.  My ambition is for my clients to absolutely love everything I create for them.

A Labor of Love...

Local Roots:

Anyone who knows me well knows that family is everything to me.  I'm married to my lifetime love and high school sweetheart, Ben. I'm also the proud mom of three active boys, who are the inspiration for the name Three Poppies. The love I have for my family causes me to get excited when I meet a new wedding couple and gain a glimpse into their love story. It's exciting and humbling to be a small part of their wedding as they begin their life together.
As a true Colorado native, I'm familiar with many of the local venues and local flower farms.  I love outdoor, mountain weddings and unique indoor venues.  Each setting brings its own character and charm.  Every venue is the blank canvas I fill with the art of flowers.
